Details

Guess the note that is shown on the staff lines by clicking on a piano key. You can choose among the Treble Clef, Bass Clef or Grand Stave. The Grand Stave also is known as the Grand Staff.

These are the clefs that you typically use when playing piano music.

Also, you can click on the hints boxes below the piano keyboard to see all notes on the staff or all the notes on the keys.

If you select the Treble Clef, the keyboard will show two octaves - octaves 4 and 5 - starting with the Middle C key, on the far left. The last key, on the far right, will be an extra C key, C6.

If you select the Bass Clef, the keyboard will show two octaves - octaves 2 and 3. The extra key, on the far right, will be Middle C, which is C4.

If you select the Grand Stave (also known as the Grand Staff), the keyboard will show four complete octaves, starting with octave 2 and ending with octave 5. The middle key will be Middle C. And the final key on the right will be an extra C key, C6.

Most piano music will use the Grand Staff, which is made up of the Treble Clef on the top and the Bass Clef on the bottom.
